From Sunday 4 October 2026, Ar Men Du will be turning a new page in its history with the opening of the Bistrot!
In keeping with Ar Men Du’s identity, this new venue offers a different way to experience the restaurant. Spontaneous cuisine, a more convivial atmosphere and a menu that gives pride of place to seafood
and all that makes our Breton region so rich.
A new table, the same spirit
Ar Men Du has always had a special connection with the sea. It shapes our days, inspires our cuisine and is an integral part of the experience we wish to offer our visitors. With the Bistrot, this identity remains at the heart of the project.
The idea is not to create a separate venue, but rather to bring to life a new expression of Ar Men Du.
That is why the Bistrot will be a place where people come simply to enjoy a good meal, share a moment around the table, and rediscover that atmosphere – a blend of old-fashioned bistros and seaside cottages.
Simple, hearty cuisine
At the Bistrot d’Ar Men Du, we aim to rediscover the pleasure of cuisine that focuses on the essentials: quality ingredients, delicious recipes and a particular emphasis on seasonal produce.
The sea will naturally play a prominent role in our cuisine. Fish, shellfish and other seafood will feature throughout the seasons, alongside produce from the Breton countryside.
Although still a work in progress, the menu will also evolve according to the day’s catch and our team’s inspiration. Because at the Bistrot, we want our cuisine to be vibrant, capable of changing and reinventing itself.
Two restaurants, two experiences
With the opening of the Bistrot, Ar Men Du now invites you to discover its cuisine in two different ways.
The fine-dining restaurant will continue to offer an experience centred on more elaborate cuisine, where ingredients, creativity and the world of the sea take centre stage. Open on Wednesday evenings, and for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday.
Ar Men Du’s Bistrot, meanwhile, will offer a more relaxed and spontaneous experience, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Open for lunch and dinner from Sunday to Tuesday.
Two restaurants, two culinary identities, but one establishment and one setting.
