A company where every employee matters
At Ar Men Du, we firmly believe that a hotel and fine-dining establishment is not defined solely by its cuisine or its accommodation,
but above all by its team.
Here, every member of staff is a talent in their own right, with their own personality, expertise and contribution to the overall experience
we offer our guests, from the hotel to the restaurant.
Listening to one another so we can move forward together
Because nothing is set in stone, we have implemented a process of continuous improvement based on open dialogue and everyone’s feedback.
Every year, a satisfaction survey is sent out before and after the season to gather feedback from the teams.
The aim is simple: to understand what is working well, identify areas for improvement, and develop our practices in both personal and professional terms.
Practical gestures in everyday life
Well-being isn’t something that can be imposed; it is built up through the little things in everyday life.
All staff members are treated to an all-inclusive meal for two in our gourmet restaurant.
It’s a special opportunity to experience the restaurant from a guest’s perspective, enjoy some time away from work, and gain a fresh perspectiveon everyone’s work.
It’s also a way of thanking everyone and recognising their commitment.
A more balanced work-life balance
We know that quality of life also depends on how working hours are organised.
That is why we do our utmost to minimise breaks, whenever business allows.
Wherever possible, we prioritise full working days and timetables designed to ensure the team’s well-being.
Rest that makes sense
Rest is essential for working effectively.
We therefore ensure that we offer consecutive days off, to allow for proper breaks and time to switch off.
This balance is important for maintaining everyone’s wellbeing on a day-to-day basis.
A fair distribution of tips
We have decided to share all tips equally amongst all staff members, regardless of their role or department.
This approach reflects our vision of collective success: every role—whether in the dining room, the kitchen or housekeeping—plays a vital part in ensuring our guests’ satisfaction.
This system recognises everyone’s commitment and helps to strengthen team spirit on a daily basis.
Meals shared together before services
Meals are provided for staff during working hours.
Beyond the practical aspect, these moments offer genuine opportunities for colleagues to socialise, fostering a sense of unity among the various departments within the hotel and restaurant.
They also help to build relationships, get to know one another better and strengthen the team spirit that is essential to the running of the establishment.
Growing, progressing and pushing ourselves to new heights together
At Ar Men Du, we believe that career progression is an integral part of the workplace experience.
That is why we support every employee in developing their skills through internal and external training programmes tailored to the hospitality and catering sectors.
We encourage skills development and career progression within the company, where an individual’s aspirations and potential allow. The aim is simple: to offer genuine career prospects in a stimulating and demanding environment.
If an employee has a career goal — whether it be a competitive examination, technical development or a specific career path — we are committed to actively supporting them. We provide the necessary resources, wherever possible, to equip them with the tools they need to succeed and help them achieve their ambitions.
This commitment is clearly demonstrated by several recent achievements: in particular, our establishment supported Zoé Madec’s participation in the MAF 2026 competition in cold cuisine, as well as our chef’s project, in which he competed in the Best Pizza a Due competition, which he won, thereby becoming the 2026 French Champion.
These successes reflect our belief: when we give talent the confidence, time and resources, they can achieve excellence.
